Karl, I would say that your main strengths are in taking an overall view of us, not just financially but as a couple and what our real aspirations and dreams are and hope to be. That you combined this view, with a balanced and knowledgeable experience of the market and possible problems that people face in their everyday lives. The benefit of this, was you could show us different scenarios that might occur in the future and how we would be able to cope with them, given out current circumstances. Also, if we changed things, invested differently and planned better and allowed ourselves a buffer against any nasty incidents that might affect us as a couple.
Karl, you are friendly, approachable and exceptionally knowledgeable. Perhaps it could have been clearer on whether or not it is okay to ask follow up questions and if there is a charge for this. I did lots of this, as I really needed as much info on what was being sorted for me, as it was all very new to me. I wasn’t sure if this was okay but assumed it was or that I would have been told that it wasn’t. This ‘addition’ was something I could not have done without and I really appreciated it. An excellent part of the service.
I have learned so much from this whole process, (a bit like doing a degree course in 6-months) and have a different mind set towards my finances as a result and I feel much more strategic in my thinking. Simon, I would, say is dependable. He always responds to queries promptly and in a reassuring manner. Patient – he never makes me feel stupid when I ask things I do not understand.
Simon is very patient. He is ethical and conscientious. He takes great care to explain procedure and reasons for taking a particular course of action. I trust that he advises me with as much care as if I was very important and as he would his own immediate family. He has gathered around him other professionals who complement his strengths, that he can draw on and has access to the best financial / tax information available. I like him as a genuine person too.

Simon’s manner is excellent ; it would be easy to appear patronising to professionals who, whilst highly skilled in their own milieu, are lost in the world of finance.
